Come experience our beautiful 6 acre property just 30 minutes from Vernon and 45 minutes from downtown Kelowna. If your group wants to experience an outdoor oriented event with everything already set up for you, this is the place :) We have three large furnished canvas tents that sleep two people each (queen bed per tent) and our double-yurt sleeps up to 4 (queen bed + double bed). Got a bigger group? You can choose to add on one or two unfurnished canvas tents and we also have plenty of room for up to 20 extra guests to bring their own gear for dispersed camping.

We love creating space for guests to take things slow. A place to make new memories. We believe that authentic outdoor experiences and comfort can go hand-in-hand. Our mission has been to create a unique and comfortable place for our guests to rest and recharge, reconnect with others, and leave feeling inspired. Walk down to the lake, relax on the shared terrace, or lounge in bed, our property provides you with everything you need need for a restorative time away.

Glamping Accommodation

Our yurt and furnished canvas tents are equipped with everything needed for an amazing getaway to rest and recharge. Each unit feature large natural fibre rugs, comfortable beds with super plush Polysleep memory foam mattresses, hotel quality linens and towels, bedside fans, battery powered lanterns, and power banks for charging mobile devices. Extra blankets and hot water bottles are also stocked just in case you get a chilly night early or late in our season. Every unit also features comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, large outdoor sun umbrellas/shade sails, private kitchenettes with running drinking water (cold only), and private propane fire pits (propane provided) where you can unwind with views of Okanagan Lake. Our furnished canvas tents are large and have plenty of room to stand. The canvas is waterproof and creates a beautiful interior atmosphere. Our double-yurt is one of kind; it features two yurts connected by an internal door. Both yurt ceilings are framed with douglas fir rafters that rise towards circular skylights; beautiful craftsmanship is evident in these unique spaces. Come experience the magic of the Okanagan, when the sun starts to set we hope that you will find yourself right here, next to a campfire, steps from your comfortably furnished glamping accommodation.

Cooking Facilities

Is there anything better than a camp cook out? Every unit has its own individual kitchenette that includes a built-in 2-burner cooktop (propane provided), a sink with running drinking water (cold only), kitchen cookware, dishware, utensils, and garbage and recycling bins. We recommend that guests bring a cooler with ice to store their food as there is no fridge. Please note that while the yurt’s kitchenette is located indoors, each tent’s kitchenette is located outdoors. Group bookings will also be provided with a group food prep area on our large terrace area that includes at 10x10 cooking shelter, a large outdoor table for food prep and serving, a free-standing 3-burner ‘Camp Chef’ cooktop (propane included) and a mid sized BBQ with utensils (propane provided).

Bathrooms and Showers

Guests love our outdoor showers that are open to the sky above! We have two privately enclosed outdoor showers that are equipped with instant hot water for those extra long extra hot soaks to get you into vacation mode. We supply the highest quality organic and biodegradable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We also have two privately enclosed stalls with super clean flushing toilets; wouldn’t be glamping without it. Our shared bath house amenity provides some luxury in the outdoors and is located a short walk from the tents and yurt. If your group adds extra guests for dispersed camping we will arrange all logistics associated with a portable toilet for the dispersed camping area.

Lake Access

There are a few different beach options near Okanagan Glamping Co. The closest option is the Evely Day Use Area. It is directly next door to our property and you can walk there in about 20 minutes. The walk includes quite a steep hill so you can also choose to drive there in less than 5 minutes. Evely has two public beaches (one rocky, the other pebble; the pebble one is really nice and is on the far side of the Rec Site; an extra 15 minute walk). It also has picnic tables on the shoreline and a boat launch for public use. We provide towels for showering but ask that you please bring your own beach towel if you are planning on enjoying the lake. There are also other public beach options within a 15 minute drive.

Terrace

Our large shared terrace provides an expansive view of the lake, plenty of sun, and big comfy seats with large sun umbrellas. It is a great spot to spend a few lazy hours. The terrace measures 45’ x 55’ and is the hub of the property; a place to gather.

Parking

There is sufficient parking for 10-vehicles associated with the furnished canvas tent and yurt sites. Up to 10 additional vehicles can be accommodated on the property if you choose to add extra guests for the dispersed camping option. Trailers, boat trailers, or tow-behind campers could potentially be accommodated; please get in touch with specifics to confirm.

Tips

This is still camping. The days can get hot and the nights cold. We recommend that guests bring sunscreen and a hat for the daytime and warm clothing for the evenings. Sturdy footwear is also recommended. We are off grid and do not have electricity or wifi but there is cell phone reception. We provide battery powered lanterns in the furnished tents and yurt and solar powered lighting along the pathways and at the bath house. Please bring a beach towel if you plan to swim in the lake. The tents and yurts are not really designed to withstand wear and tear from dogs.  For this reason we do not allow pets..
